Hosiery Designer (New York)

HPD, a division of The Moret Group, is looking for a Hosiery Designer.Description:-Researching fashion trends, creating original graphics and color palettes for each developing season.-Translating ideas & creating sock, slipper sock and slipper groups for all classifications. Ladies, mens girls, boys, toddler & baby-Sending development to factories overseas-Following up and communicating with factories on revisions required by buyers, sales & licensor etc.-Communicate effectively with other HPD teams.-Keeping sample boards, line sheets, factory comments spreadsheets and computer files organized and accessible to teams.Requirements:-Must be a team player-Enthusiastic about designing no matter what the product or customer-Must be comfortable following processes and maintaining thorough notes and records-Must be creative, organized and detail oriented-Must have 3+ years experience in designing and developing knits and hosiery (socks, tights, slipper socks, etc.)-Must be proficient in IllustratorA plus:-Proficiency in Photoshop-Understanding yarns & knit construction
