Benefits:401(k)Company carPaid time offAbout the Role:Are you passionate about fitness, recreation, and creating high-energy team experiences for high-functioning adults with developmental disabilities? Our day program is seeking a motivated part-time Recreation & Physical Development Coach (4 hours) to lead engaging movement-based activities that promote teamwork, physical wellness, coordination, confidence, and community connection.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading group fitness activities, team sports, agility drills, recreational games, obstacle courses, and active community adventuresall while helping participants strengthen communication skills, social interaction, leadership abilities, and healthy lifestyle habits in a fun, structured, and supportive environment.What you'll do:Plan and lead daily recreational activities including team sports and community outings.Facilitate group-based experiences that promote social skill development, teamwork, and emotional connection.Support participants in practicing communication, empathy, and conflict resolution.Ensure all activities are active, inclusive, and safe.Transport clients in company vehicles (8-9 passenger vans)Work with co-leaders and community partners to plan and deliver trainingsWhat we are looking for:Experience coaching sports, fitness, recreation, athletics, PE, or team-based activities preferredAthletic or recreational coaching abilitiesGroup motivation and engagementStrong team-building abilitiesConflict resolution and positive behavior supportCreativity in designing engaging physical activitiesHigh energy and active participation styleAbility to maintain structure while creating a fun environmentRequired: .Strong group facilitation and interpersonal skills.Ability to lead both indoor and outdoor activities, including sports and hiking.High school diploma or GEDMust possess and maintain a valid CA drivers license and at least state-minimum car insuranceMust be at least 25 years of age (for insurance purposes)Must possess and maintain a clean driving record (no moving violations, at-fault accidents, etc.)Must have moderate smart cell phone and computer skills.Possess a valid certificate of completion of first aid and CPR training or the ability to obtain one upon hireMaintain current and valid licenses, certificates, or registrations that may be legally required to provide the service.Must pass a background check.Preferred:Background in recreation therapy, kinesiology, psychology, or related field.Experience with adaptive sports, outdoor education, or wellness programming.Knowledge of safety protocols for outdoor activities.Why Join Us?Make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.Be part of a supportive, creative, and mission-driven team.Enjoy a dynamic work environmentHelp shape a new and exciting social connections program!
