In this role, the Prep Cook plays a key part in ensuring ingredients are prepared to specification, stations are organized, and every dish begins with quality, consistency, and care.Reports to: Sous Chef/ Executive ChefChopHouse Grille strikes the perfect balance of upscale sophistication meets casual comfort in a lively and stylish setting.The menu offers something for everyone with a seasonally-inspired menu and spirited social scene. It’s a glass of wine and salad, a date night dinner or a casual family night out. It’s hand-crafted cocktails and mocktails, a private corporate dinner or a bustling happy hour. Located in Exton, PA, this new concept is a welcome addition to the highly populated area, with a cultivated menu including flatbreads, salads, seafood and steaks worthy of the ChopHouse name.At PJW Restaurant Group, our staff is the foundation of our organization and the building blocks to success. We are always looking for passionate, motivated, inspired individuals to join the team.Responsibilities:Wash, chop, slice, portion, and prepare ingredients according to recipes, prep sheets, and chef direction.Assist with the preparation of menu components including flatbreads, salads, seafood items, steak accompaniments, sauces, dressings, and garnishes.Label, stock, date, and rotate food items using proper storage procedures and FIFO practices.Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked prep station throughout the shift.Support line cooks and chefs by ensuring ingredients and supplies are ready for service.Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, mixers, food processors, and knives.Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.Assist with receiving deliveries, checking product quality, and storing items properly.Help with opening, closing, and general kitchen cleaning duties, including dishwashing and waste removal when needed.Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency, urgency, and attention to detail.Qualifications:Previous prep cook, kitchen, or food preparation experience preferred.Basic knife skills and understanding of food handling and kitchen safety practices.Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, and verbal instructions accurately.Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy kitchen.Team-oriented mindset and willingness to assist wherever needed.Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds.Passion for hospitality, quality food, and creating a great guest experience from behind the scenes.PJW Restaurant GroupPJW Restaurant Group has been successful for more than three decades by striving for more.
