Database Architect

Overview: TradeSmith is hiring a Database Architect to add to our growing company. The Data Architect’s role is focused on TradeSmith's data warehouse (Snowflake), and all secondary data systems. They will be working closely with our research and product team, data scientists and marketing analysts. Their role will involve data ETL work with a focus on supporting the BI, marketing, and copy team's data needs. Experience in data manipulation within AWS will help accelerate this position. They will have the ability to work with Cloud Infrastructure tools as well as Python on the programming side. Responsibilities: Work with key executives from multiple teams to understand problems, identify opportunities and present findings Enhance and improve the data warehouse Create ETL solutions to ensure that data is normalized and accessible at all times Extract the data required from the data warehouse (Snowflake) or other systems as needed, either through direct SQL extracts or other frameworks provided such as Looker, Tableau, etc. Work with the BI and data science team to support their data needs Qualifications: BS or MS degree in Data Administration, Science, or related quantitative field Minimum 5 years’ work experience within Data Architecture role Highly proficient in SQL Python coding experience Excellent communication skills Finance Technology background preferred Comfortable with shifting priorities and a fast-paced work environment Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing Visual acuity for reading and using the computer Ability to hear Ability to freely move about the office or remote working environment Ability to use the phone/computer/keyboard/mouse/general office equipment for extended periods of time Ability to communicate with others in order to exchange information Fluency in the English language About TradeSmith TradeSmith is the leading Wealth Tech division of MarketWise.
