Company Name:ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC.Job Family:EngineeringJob Description:The purpose of this position is to lead the analysis and testing of suspect xEV units using all equipment and vehicles at USTLP1. This role is also responsible for reporting analysis findings as requested and for coordination of analysis investigation with cross-functional departments to contain outflow and implement countermeasures. Advanced problem-solving techniques such as FTA and DOE shall be employed along with recreation testing and parts swapping to drive analysis investigation to root cause.Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mech, Elec.) or other relevant fieldDemonstrated aptitude for complex problem solving and application of testing methodsAbility to read and interpret drawingsPreferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):Minimum 3 years of experience with vehicle testing/troubleshootingKnowledge and experience with vehicle data collection (INCA, ETAS, CANape, Vector, etc)Software Qualifications:Basic experience required in Windows, MS Office, and Microsoft Teams.Data collection systems experience (INCA, ETAS, CANApe, LMS, etc)Position Duties and Responsibilities:Daily ActivitiesAnalyze daily warranty claim data from systemLead complex investigations on returned product across functional areasCoordinate daily work for Market Quality Staff (manage priority items)Support swap testing analysis on xEV componentsCollect and analyze data from vehicle data collection systemsCollect and analyze data from component test devicesCoordinate with cross functional departments for recreation testing and investigation; develop and conduct hypothesis testing of suspect failure causesConduct joint analysis with customers for analysis and testing of the vehicle as needed (by Teams and onsite as needed)Travel for training and supportOther duties assignedSkills and Abilities:Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivatedExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracyMaintains clean and orderly work environmentInteracts with various levels of associatesMaintains knowledge of all processes, procedures, and product of USTLP1Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organizationEssential to Job Functions - Physical and/or Mental Restrictions:Ability to work for long periods of time while sittingStanding, walking, and bending for the duration of the workdayAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsVisual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screenFull Motor SkillsWork Environment - Travel, Noise, Smells, Quiet, Indoors or Outdoors, etc.Requires infrequent travel (however, may be elevated during sales start)Office and Factory Setting with NoiseEquipment UsedPersonal ComputerWeight ScalesVehicle liftOverhead hoistPallet JackOther specialized analysis toolsEqual Opportunity Employer (EOE) - Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, identity, disability, protected veteran status and national origin.At Astemo, we're challenging the status quo with the power of diversity, inclusion, and collaboration.
