AEM Developer

Akkodis is seeking an AEM Developer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX. You will develop and extend AEM components, workflows, and integrations while optimizing application performance, and you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high‐quality Adobe Experience Manager solutions.Rate Range: $49/hour to $51/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.AEM Developer job responsibilities include:* Develop and enhance AEM components, templates, workflows, and Sling models using AEM 6.4+ while ensuring adherence to best practices and high‐quality coding standards.* Implement integrations using REST APIs, JSON/XML, and web services, and optimize application performance through caching, dispatcher configuration, and tuning.* Customize Adobe UI frameworks including Coral and Granite UI, and extend AEM's core functionalities such as Launches, OSGi services, and Oak/Sling components.* Ensure AEM platform security and access control compliance, including configuring permissions, authentication models, and secure content delivery.* Collaborate with cross‐functional teams (QA, UX, PMs) to deliver on‐time, high‐quality project outcomes while documenting technical processes and architectural decisions.* Support CI/CD and automated testing workflows using tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Selenium, and Hudson to maintain reliable and scalable AEM deployments.Required Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.* Minimum of 8 years of hands‐on experience delivering AEM projects, including AEM 6.4 or newer versions.* Strong Java development skills with deep expertise in AEM core components, Sling models, workflows, servlets, and UI frameworks such as Coral/Granite.* Proven experience integrating AEM with REST APIs and external systems, along with proficiency in performance tuning, dispatcher configuration, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Maven.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
