Accounting Supervisor

This organization markets and distributes critical industrial commodities through an extensive international distribution system. We are seeking a stand-alone Accounting Supervisor who excels in technical GAAP compliance and continuous process improvement. This is a high-visibility role within a multi-entity environment that empowers you to architect and refine financial controls rather than simply maintaining them. You will act as a key pillar in the finance department, managing complex international ledger activities and driving reporting excellence across a global infrastructure.Primary ResponsibilitiesPartner with supply chain management and other stakeholders to prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual producer reports.Lead the end-to-end close process; manage balance sheet and income statement accounts, prepare journal entries, and analyze monthly operating results.Manage and improve accounting workflows by leveraging automation, AI tools, and other technologies to increase efficiency and data quality.Exercise professional judgment in evaluating accounting treatments and risks; monitor compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.Collaborate with business development, sales, and marketing teams to provide financial insights and analysis that support strategic decision-making.Serve as a lead contributor to annual financial audits and drive process improvement initiatives or special financial analysis projects.Professional QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.7–11 years of professional accounting experience with a strong foundation in full-cycle operations.Big 4 or Tier 2 public accounting experience is highly recommended, with a strong preference for candidates offering a strategic mix of both public and private industry backgrounds.CPA license preferred, or a clear plan to work toward one.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data models/integrations) and experience with analytics platforms such as Power BI or Microsoft Fabric.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills with a deep working knowledge of US GAAP.A proactive, solutions-oriented team player with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environmentFor immediate consideration please send your resume to: cecilia.bjurstrom@randstadusa.com
