Vice President, Fund Finance (Chicago)

Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week Role Overview: As a Fund Financing professional, you will play an important role in Apogem Capital's Fund Financing team and report into the Senior Director of Private Credit Operations & Fund Finance. In this role, you will be bridging the gap between the private credit team and the credit operations team and will be responsible for management of financing facilities supporting various investment vehicles, including a new evergreen commingled fund.What You'll Do:You will be responsible for managing financing solutions for Apogem Capital's investment structures and funds, including subscription-backed credit facilities, bespoke investment specific financing solutions, credit facilities for evergreen investment structures, interval funds, BDCs, and implementation of letters of credit. Your responsibilities will include the following:Assist senior team members with deal structuring and negotiating financings across different products and asset classesDay-to-day management of leverage facilities, including borrowing base calculations, preparation of borrowing notices, reportable events, and assigned values for underlying assetsUtilize financing facilities and capital calls to manage liquidity for new asset purchases and draws on unfunded commitmentsWork on supporting the asset allocation team by way of liquidity and strategyWork with the credit operations team and finance team on reporting/complianceWork with various teams internally regarding capital availabilityPortfolio analyticsAssist with weekly management reports and analyze investment financeFormal and informal training of internal stakeholdersLead team initiatives and proactively identify areas for improvementWhat You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree required; an advanced certification or degree a plus (e.g., CPA, CFA, CAIA, MBA/JD)7+ yrs of fund financing and/or capital markets experience in a leading bank, medium sized to large Private Credit Investment Management firm or BDCExceptional understanding of the fund financing markets including understanding of various products (e.g. subscription lines, NAV facilities) and execution processesStrong analytical and negotiation skillsSelf-driven team player with a strong desire to make meaningful contributions and a positive impactStrong project management skills and ability to work under pressureIntellectual curiosity with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred Skills:Network in the private market community, among lenders, GPs and law firmsUnderstanding and negotiating experience of facility documentation across multiple asset classes and markets (Americas, Europe, Asia)#LI-AM1Pay TransparencySalary Range: $150,000 - $175,000 Overtime eligible: Exempt Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes Sales bonus eligible: No Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
