Location: Johnston, IADuration: 24 Months ContractWork Arrangement: Fully OnsiteJob SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Python Full Stack Engineer to support the development of secure, next-generation connected vehicle platforms. This role emphasizes Python backend development, Linux-based systems, and embedded security solutions with less focus on cloud security. The engineer will collaborate with embedded software, cloud, and electrical engineering teams to build secure, scalable infrastructure for connected vehicles and IoT applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Python-based backend services for connected vehicle platforms.Design and implement secure software architectures for embedded systems, cloud services, and mobile applications.Build security solutions supporting connected and autonomous vehicle technologies.Design key management, cryptographic, and access control mechanisms for embedded environments.Collaborate with embedded software, DevOps, and cloud engineering teams.Review system architectures to ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices.Support Linux-based development and deployment environments.Participate in code reviews, security assessments, and technical design discussions.Contribute to DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.8+ years of full-stack software development experience.Strong Python backend development experience.Experience working with Linux distributions.Experience implementing cryptographic security controls for embedded systems.Experience developing scalable backend APIs and distributed applications.Strong software design, debugging, and problem-solving skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience developing IoT devices or connected products.PKI experience, including certificate lifecycle management and key protection.DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines.Experience developing AWS-native applications.Knowledge of embedded systems and vehicle networking.Experience with secure software architecture and authentication mechanisms.
