This position is based at our office in Shelbyville, TN.Your Responsibilities will be:Strategic Planning: Formulate and direct Marelli's EHS strategic plans, integrating them seamlessly with the company's broader objectives. Ensure these strategies are scalable and adaptable to accommodate future growth and changes in regulatory conditions.Policy Development: Craft, implement, and periodically review EHS policies and programs to ensure they accurately reflect the organization's commitment to employee safety and environmental stewardship.Education and Training: Design and deliver comprehensive EHS training and awareness programs, tailored to various levels of the organization, to embed a culture of safety and environmental awareness.Incident Management: Lead the response to environmental or safety incidents, overseeing investigations to identify root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrences.Performance Monitoring: Establish key EHS metrics and benchmarks to monitor and report on the performance of EHS initiatives, facilitating informed decision-making and continuous improvement.Team Leadership: Guide and mentor the EHS team, fostering their professional development and ensuring they have the necessary resources and knowledge to effectively support the organization's EHS objectives.Identify hazards / environmental aspects and assess risks in the company.Cooperate with the Employer and all other departments for the preparation of the Risk Assessment Document.Identify and develop all safety measures suitable for the prevention of diseases and accidents at work, safety procedure included.Environmental & Energy Management: Manage hazardous waste, air emissions, wastewater, and spill prevention. Identify and execute energy-saving opportunities to improve sustainability.This profile should have the experience in working in Plant and have the strong knowledge about facilities, equipment.What Qualifications you will bring:Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.Minimum Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in EHS, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, ideally within the manufacturing or automotive sectors.Certifications: Professional EHS certifications are highly beneficial; ISO 45001/14001 Regulations and ISO 45001/14001 Internal auditor.Other skills that we would welcome:Comprehensive understanding of global EHS regulations, excellent leadership and communication abilities, strategic planning acumen, and a proven ability to drive EHS performance improvements.
