Cloud Data Engineer (AWS / Databricks / Snowflake)

CTG is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Engineer to design and build scalable data solutions within a modern cloud ecosystem. This role focuses on developing robust data pipelines, optimizing data platforms, and enabling advanced analytics using AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake.Location: Denver, CODuration: 8 monthsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop scalable batch and real-time data pipelinesBuild and maintain data lakes and data warehouses (S3, Redshift, Snowflake)Develop ETL/ELT processes using Python and SQLImplement data solutions using Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Iceberg, Unity Catalog)Integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring quality and reliabilityApply CI/CD practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)Monitor and optimize workflows using AWS tools (CloudWatch, EventBridge)Create and execute detailed testing and validation documentationRequired SkillsAWS: Redshift, S3, Step Functions, EventBridge, CloudWatchDatabricks: Spark, Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, Unity CatalogSnowflakeStrong SQL and PythonCI/CD and GitInfrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)Data warehousing & dimensional modeling expertisePreferredExperience with streaming technologies (Kinesis, Kafka)Familiarity with Apache Airflow, dbtStrong focus on code quality, testing, and documentationQualifications5+ years of data engineering experienceHands-on experience with AWS-based data platformsExperience with Databricks and Snowflake in production environmentsBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experienceExcellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75.00 to $85.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
