Give us a call opt 1Job Details: Shift: 12H NightsTotal Weekly Hours: 36Certifications: BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC)Trauma Level: Facility Specific Job Notes:**Required Experience:**- 2 years of oncology experience required- Must have a full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no gap in employment greater than 90 days in the past year- 2 references required; one required supervisor level or above, the 2nd can be a charge RN. All references must be from the past year**Preferred Experience:**- Previous charge experience- Teaching hospital experience preferred- Charting system experience: Epic**Certifications:**- BLS- Chemo (ONS/ONCC)**Skills Required:**- IV Therapy/Infusions: Administration of coagulation factors, Antifungals, Antivirals, Blood/Blood product administration, Care and management of ports, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, Infusion pump management, Intravenous- Medications: Antibiotic, Antiemetic, Corticosteroids- Oncologic Emergencies: Sepsis- Psychosocial Care: Advanced directives, Patient/Family education and support- Symptom management: Alteration in skin and mucous membranes, Altered mental status, Constipation/diarrhea, Dysphagia, Edema, Nausea/vomiting, Neuropathy- Professional Knowledge and Skills: Chest tube care and management, Colostomy care and management, Foley catheter insertion/management, Isolation Precautions, Neutropenic precautions, Telemetry Interpretation, Telemetry monitoring, Wound care- Pain Management: IV push narcotic agents, Medication tolerance/dependence, assessment, PCA pump management, Transdermal patches- Surgery: Post surgical care**Skills Preferred:**- IV Therapy/Infusions: Accessing Ports- Oncologic Emergencies: Acute Tumor Lysis Syndrome (ATLS), Anaphylaxis, Extravasation injury, Hemorrhage- Psychosocial Care: Hospice care, Withholding/withdrawing treatment- Care of Patient With: Various types of cancer (e.g., Bladder/Kidney Cancer, Brain cancer, Breast Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, Ear/Nose/Throat Cancers, etc.)- Recognize/manage side effects of Biotherapy - Professional Knowledge and Skills: Tracheostomy care/management**Required Licensure:**- Must have both Kansas and Missouri or compact licensure at the time of submission **Additional Requirements:**- Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit- Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed- Infusion Pump and Glucometer training must be completed by the Sunday prior to the start dateWhen you apply with Junxion, you speak with a live U.S.-based recruiter who understands the travel market.
