Apex Settlement Corporation is committed to efficient workflows, reliable service, and a positive experience for all parties involved in real estate transactions.Role Description The Title Processor is a full-time, on-site role based in Columbia, MD. This role is responsible for processing title orders from opening through closing, including reviewing title searches, compiling and clearing title requirements, and preparing CDs, HUDs, and settlement statements. The Title Processor will coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, and customers to obtain required documents, resolve title issues, and ensure all conditions are met for a timely settlement. Daily responsibilities include managing files in the title software system, verifying legal descriptions and property information, ordering payoffs and insurance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The person in this role will also support closings by preparing final documents, assisting with escrow disbursements as directed, and providing responsive customer service throughout the transaction.Qualifications Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, lenders, and real estate professionals.Knowledge of Notary practices and Escrow procedures, including familiarity with real estate settlement and title documentation.Basic Accounting skills related to settlement statements, disbursements, and reconciling closing figures.Previous experience in title, real estate, mortgage, or a related closing/settlement environment is preferred.High attention to detail, strong organizational and time-management abilities, and comfort working with deadlines.Proficiency with common office software and title or closing software systems.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in real estate, title, or escrow is a plus.
