LMR Technical Group (LMR) is seeking JTAC - I Instructors to join our team.Location: Hurlburt Field, FL (Primary Duty Location) Periodic CONUS/OCONUS travel required in support of AFSOC units and training events.Job Description:The JTAC Evaluator (JTAC-E) serves as a senior operational authority responsible for the evaluation, standardization, and oversight of JTAC training and certification programs in support of AFSOC and associated Special Operations Forces units.This is not a traditional instructor role. The JTAC-E operates at the standards and validation level, ensuring that all JTAC personnel meet mission qualification requirements and that training programs align with USSOCOM, AFSOC, and unit-level directives.The position supports the Government by executing initial, recurring, spot, and no-notice evaluations, advising JTAC Program Managers, conducting records reviews and Staff Assistance Visits (SAVs), and ensuring that training outputs produce Combat Mission Ready (CMR) JTACs. The JTAC-E also contributes to program-level oversight, simulator integration, and training system improvements.This role directly supports AFSOC's requirement to maintain a fully mission-capable JTAC force through disciplined evaluation, compliance, and operational feedback loops.Duties and Responsibilities:Evaluation & Certification AuthorityConduct initial, recurring, spot, and no-notice JTAC evaluations in accordance with:USSOCOM M350-5AFSOCI 13-50JFS ESC MOA guidanceValidate JTAC, JTAC-I, and upgrade candidates for mission qualificationProvide formal written and verbal evaluation results to unit leadershipEnsure all evaluations meet regulatory and unit-level requirementsProgram Oversight & StandardizationAssist AFSOC JTAC Program leadership with:Oversight of JTAC training programsStandardization of evaluation practicesContinuous improvement of training and certification pipelinesConductrecords reviews and program audits (SAVs) across supported unitsEvaluate unit JTAC instruction and evaluation procedures for compliance and effectivenessProvide recommendations for improvements to JTAC training, CAS procedures, and program executionOperational & Training SupportPerform JTAC, JTAC-Instructor, and mission support duties as requiredSupport live, simulator, and LVC training environmentsIntegrate evaluation standards into training execution across IQT, MQT, CT, and RQ pipelinesProvide subject matter expertise on CAS operations and JTAC employmentAdvisory & SME FunctionsAdvise AFSOC leadership, SOCOM stakeholders, and subordinate units on:JTAC readiness and performance trendsTraining gaps and risk areasCAS operational effectivenessParticipate in:JTAC working groupsSIMCERT and training system integration effortsConferences and program-level meetingsReporting & ComplianceSupport development of:Monthly Status ReportsProgram Management Reviews (PMRs)Evaluation documentation and trend analysisEnsure compliance with:Safety reporting requirementsIncident/mishap documentation standardsOPSEC and security requirementsOther related duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Must possess current or recent JTAC Evaluator (JTAC-E) qualification. Prior or current JTAC-I qualification (with JTAC-E upgrade)Must meet Appendix 1 role-specific qualification requirements for JTAC Evaluator (JTAC-E)Extensive operational experience in:Close Air Support (CAS)JTAC execution and trainingSpecial Operations or AFSOC environments (strongly preferred)Demonstrated experience conducting evaluations and certifications in a military training environmentDeep working knowledge of:USSOCOM M350-5AFSOCI 13-50JTAC training and evaluation pipelinesAbility to interpret and enforce training standards and evaluation criteriaAbility to obtain and maintain required DD-254 security clearancesWorking knowledge of U.S. military command and control structuresValid driver's license and ability to operate military vehiclesDemonstrated land navigation capability (UTM/lat-long)Must pass an initial required drug screening and comply with random drug testing requirements.This position requires the successful completion of a pre-employment medical physical and/or health screening to ensure the candidate is able to safely perform the essential duties of the role.
