Ultrasound Tech Location: Wrangell, AK Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $45 to $56 per hour Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Permanent (Full Time) Currently offering a $25K Sign-on Bonus and $10K Relocation Shift: Days, Full Time. Pay Rate: $87,000.00 to $110,000.00/Yearly. Summary: An Ultrasound Technologist (also called a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) performs diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound equipment to help physicians evaluate and diagnose medical conditions. They capture high-quality images of internal organs, tissues, and blood flow while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities: Must provide Sonographic examination of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation. Must exercise professional judgement in performance of procedures applying principles of radiation protection. Performs diagnostic medical sonography within department and other areas. Maintains patient records and files. Assumes responsibility for departmental quality assurance program. Pursues continuing education. Transfers patient to and from imaging. In absence of supervisor, can assume responsibility of department. Rotates shifts as required. Performs ancillary duties as requested by supervisor. Follows policies and procedures as set up by SEARHC Administration. Assists in general hygiene of department and self. Should be able to work well in situations of stress.
