Operations & Sales Associate

Harris Water Main & Sewer Contractors is looking for a sharp, driven associate to work directly alongside our VP, a hands-on leader overseeing sales and operations across a tight-knit team. This isn't a traditional admin role. You'll be embedded in a real operation, learning the business from the inside, and doing whatever it takes to keep the VP operating at full capacity. If you're organized, self-directed, and hungry to build a career in a niche industry, this is a rare opportunity.What You'll DoManage the VP's calendar and coordinate internal and external meetingsDraft and manage client communications — follow-ups, status updates, and general correspondenceGenerate proposals and assist with bid-related documentation as neededCoordinate with field crews on scheduling, logistics, and daily updatesAssist with material ordering and vendor follow-upProduce various reports — operational, financial, project-related, and executive summariesProvide broad support that keeps the VP focused on high-priority workWhat We're Looking ForPolished written communication — clear, concise, and professionalStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams at onceSelf-directed — you figure things out without needing constant hand-holdingComfortable in a fast-moving, hands-on environmentProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)Genuinely curious about AI tools and how to use them — we're actively integrating AI across our operations and want someone who embraces that, not runs from itNo industry experience required — we'll teach you everything about the business.
