Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare metal parts for powder coating by cleaning, masking, hanging, and inspecting components prior to coatingOperate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, booths, and curing ovensApply powder coat finishes evenly and consistently according to work instructions and specificationsMonitor oven temperatures and cure times to ensure proper adhesion and finish qualityInspect finished parts for defects such as runs, thin coverage, orange peel, or contaminationPerform touch-ups or rework as required to meet quality standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe powder coat areaFollow all safety, environmental, and PPE requirementsComplete required production and quality documentationCommunicate issues related to equipment, materials, or quality to supervisionAssist with routine maintenance and cleaning of powder coating equipmentSupport continuous improvement and 5S initiativesRequirementsQualifications and RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrior powder coating or industrial painting experience preferredKnowledge of powder coat application techniques, curing processes, and surface preparationAbility to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and safety guidelinesStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBasic mechanical aptitude
