Distress Passenger Agent
What We NeedCorpay is currently looking to hire a Distress Passenger Agent within our Airline division. This position falls under our lodging line of business and is located in Schaumburg, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and resolving hotel and ground transportation booking activities for distressed passengers. You will report directly to the Operations Supervisor and regularly collaborate with Scheduling, Vendor Relations, and Client Operations teams to ensure timely accommodations during irregular airline operations.How We WorkAs a Distress Passenger Agent, you will be expected to work in an on-site environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:Assigned workspace at the designated on-site Schaumburg, IL locationCompany-issued equipmentFormal, hands-on training on all internal systems and proceduresRole ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the role will include:Managing and coordinating hotel and ground transportation accommodations for distressed passengersHandling emergency relocations and last-minute booking changes during irregular operationsCommunicating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth resolution of accommodation issuesSourcing compliant hotel options and managing approval processes for non-contracted or non-compliant propertiesMaking vendor payments in accordance with contractual terms and system protocolsAccurately recording all reservations, approvals, and notes within the TA Connections (ConneX) systemMonitoring access to necessary tools, systems, and resources, and reporting issues to supervisors promptlySupporting IT, Billing, and Commission Collections departments through data collection and issue troubleshootingMaintaining a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude while adhering to company policies and standardsReporting incidents in a professional manner to Supervisors or Human ResourcesParticipating in special projects or additional duties as assignedQualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma or GED required; some college education preferredMinimum 2 years of experience in the airline and/or hotel industry preferredPrevious experience in customer service or call center environment preferredStrong computer skills with experience using business systems and applications (e.g., ConneX, MS Office)Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and negotiation abilitiesStrong multitasking and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detailAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamAvailability to work varying shifts and extended hours during irregular operationsReliable high-speed internet connection (100 Mbps or higher) and a quiet home environment (for emergency remote work)Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment; sponsorship is not available for this roleBenefits & PerksMedical, Dental & Vision benefits available the 1st month after hireAutomatic enrollment into our 401(k) plan (subject to eligibility requirements)Virtual fitness classes offered company-wideRobust PTO offerings including major holidays, vacation, sick, personal, and volunteer timeEmployee discounts with major providers (wireless, gym, car rental, etc.)Philanthropic support with both local and national organizationsFun, collaborative culture with company-wide contests and prizesPay Transparency & Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action EmployerCorpay is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
