Director of Service
Midwest Transit Equipment, Inc. seeks a Full Time Director of Service. When you join Midwest Transit, you become part of a team that keeps communities moving and makes a real impact every day.Who we are looking for:We are looking for Director of Service to manage all Service Operations within all locations to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and implement service policies and proceduresEvaluate Service Department productivity and efficiency. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measuresEnsure compliance with OEM requirementsProvides input to annual operating budget for the Service DepartmentStay up to date with OEM and industry developmentsMonitor Service Technician training for OEM complianceMonitor and ensure all MTE locations are meeting revenue and delivery goalsCoordinate with each location to receive or maintain Prestige rating with OEMIdentify employee for future leadership roles and develop their skills and knowledge for advancement within the companySpecial projects as assigned by Senior ManagementEnsure all Service employees are following Company Safety ProceduresTravel to locations regularly (roughly 75% of time traveling)Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree preferredExperience in the Bus, Medium/Heavy Duty truck or automotive industryPrevious Operations or Service Manager experience preferredMust be located within MTE operating regionExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersExcellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel)Strong organizational skillsMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer serviceBenefits:Competitive PayMedical InsuranceDental and VisionCompany paid for Short & Long Term Disability and Life Insurance401(k) with company matchHoliday PayPTO PayCareer Growth
