Job Description The Hungry Owl is a fast paced, modern food concept serving bold Thai, Filipino, and island inspired dishes. We operate out of The Block Jax, one of Jacksonville's most exciting food hall destinations. We're focused on great food, strong teamwork, and a high-energy atmosphere. We're looking for a reliable, hard working person to join our team full-time. Responsibilities include:Prepare and cook menu items to recipe standardsMaintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchenAssist with prep work, inventory, and restockingWork efficiently during high-volume service periodsFollow all food safety and sanitation guidelinesSupport team members to keep service running smoothlyRequirements:Previous kitchen or food service experience requiredAbility to work on your feet for extended periodsStrong work ethic and team oriented mindsetAbility to handle a fast paced environmentReliable transportation and history of punctualityFood Manager certification preferred but not requiredBusiness Operating Hours:Wednesday and Thursday 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.Schedule:Full time cook will cover a majority of operating hours while being open to possible special events on Mondays or Tuesdays. Scheduling will be flexible as long as a minimum 30 hours are maintained.
