The Opportunity
We're looking for a Window Glazer to join our production team, supporting the fabrication and restoration of historic wood windows . This role focuses on traditional glazing methods, including setting glass in putty, hand glazing, rolling putty, and striking clean lines against glass and sash profiles. You'll play a key role in delivering historically accurate, high-quality window assemblies while supporting general shop operations.
What You'll Do
Set glass into wood window sashes using traditional putty glazing methods
Hand glaze and strike putty cleanly against glass and sash profiles
Roll, apply, and finish glazing putty to proper depth, angle, and appearance
Perform glazing work on historic and custom wood windows
Inspect finished work for quality, fit, and durability
Support general shop tasks including prep work, cleanup, and material handling
Collaborate with production team members to meet schedules and quality standards

Qualifications (Ideal, but Not Required)
Experience with traditional window glazing or hand glazing techniques
Familiarity with rolling and striking glazing putty
Exposure to historic window restoration, millwork, or woodworking
Background in carpentry, millwork, or restoration trades
Willingness to learn traditional glazing methods and shop processes
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, bend, and perform manual work for extended periods
Manual dexterity for detailed handwork
