Metal Plater/Line Operator - 2nd Shift

Position: Metal Plater / Line Operator (training provided to right candidate- read full description before applying)Company: Avtec Finishing / New Hope MNShift: 3p - 1a M-Th (+OT as needed)Note: There's a possibility that training will be done on 1st shift (5a-3p M-Th) for about 3-6 monthsWage: $26/Hour + DOQSigning Bonus: $1500 (new hires only)(Employment/staffing agencies - please do not reach out about this ad. We only hire direct.)Metal finishing and plating touches everything - medical devices, aerospace, defense, tools, hardware, and critical U.S. manufacturing. Most people don't know this industry exists. That's okay.Our trade is not taught in schools. We'll train you! Training involves both hands-on training and online coursework, related to plating processes, metals, and chemical properties.What we can't train? Work ethic. Reliability. There is a place to explain in the screener questions included with this ad.What You'll DoPerform plating operations per specifications and quality standardsSet up, monitor, and control plating lines and chemical bathsProcess parts for required durations per shop paperworkInspect parts for thickness, defects, and quality complianceVerify correct racking prior to platingOperate and assist with plating tanks and rinse systemsComplete all required paperwork accuratelyFollow all safety procedures and properly use PPEIdentify and report process or equipment issuesMaintain a clean and organized work areaWork independently while meeting production goalsThis is active work-you'll be on your feet, using your hands, and staying focused.
