As a member of the operations leadership team, this role is responsible for driving continuous improvement, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring effective maintenance systems across the facility.This position acts as the Progressive Maintenance (PM) Pillar Owner, leading initiatives that improve safety, reliability, productivity, and cost performance while developing maintenance capabilities across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Leadership & OperationsLead and manage plant maintenance resources, establishing priorities for maintenance schedules and repair activities.Provide leadership and technical support to maintenance leaders, planners, technicians, and operating teams.Ensure rapid response to equipment failures and production breakdowns while driving long-term reliability improvements.Oversee the maintenance shop, staffing, skills development, and repair capabilities required to support plant operations.TPM / Progressive Maintenance LeadershipServe as the Site Progressive Maintenance (PM) Pillar Owner, leading TPM initiatives and collaborating with corporate pillar teams.Implement maintenance best practices, problem-solving tools, and reliability improvement strategies.Drive a zero-loss culture by eliminating production losses through structured continuous improvement methodologies.Maintenance Systems & ReliabilityManage and optimize the CMMS system for work planning, scheduling, and performance tracking.Maintain accurate equipment reliability data and improve systems used for data collection and analysis.Establish and track maintenance KPIs to drive improvements in safety, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.Facilities & Infrastructure ManagementLead the plant facilities team, ensuring reliable maintenance of utilities, buildings, infrastructure, and grounds.Oversee the maintenance storeroom operation, including inventory management and Daily Management Systems (DMS).Capital Projects & Strategic PlanningPartner with the Plant Engineer to support the development and execution of the 5-year Capital Expenditure strategy for plant upgrades and equipment improvements.Participate in site master planning and capital planning initiatives to support long-term operational needs.Lead or support plant improvement teams focused on operational performance and cost efficiency.Continuous Improvement & CultureCoach teams and leaders on root cause analysis, problem-solving methods, and performance improvement tools.Drive engagement on the manufacturing floor to build a high-performance maintenance culture.Support plant initiatives in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Reliability, and Sustainability.Cross-Functional LeadershipWork closely with operations, engineering, HR, and leadership teams to address operational challenges and employee relations matters.Represent the plant professionally with corporate partners, customers, vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies.Additional QualificationsStrong technical and mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment and maintenance systemsExperience with maintenance planning, work development, and schedulingProven ability to build and develop high-performing technical teamsStrong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skillsExperience managing budgets, projects, and maintenance resourcesEffective presentation, written, and verbal communication skillsAbility to analyze data independently and develop actionable operational improvementsWillingness to provide technical support during major outages and occasional travel as required
