Customer Service Specialist

DescriptionPosition Summary: The Customer Service Processing Specialist will assists with basic thrift store functions for St. Vincent Center in Union Gap. These functions include pick-up, receipt, sorting, processing, and display of donations, along with cashiering and general customer assistance. Basic computer skills are required for cashier duties and timecard entry.SchedulePart-time position, 28 hours per week which may be scheduled anytime during open hours: Monday to Saturday, 9:00am- 7:00pm. Open availability is required.Responsibilities: DonationsReceives and/or assists with pick up of donations in accordance with agency policyProcesses donations according to established proceduresDisplays donations per set guidelines, and as instructedPrepares donation receiptsCustomer AssistanceAssists customers by providing information and purchase assistanceProvides phone back-upRepresents the agency by maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanorData EntryServe as cashier, accurately tracking purchases, receiving payment from customers, and issuing correct changePerforms simple data entry tasks related to time keepingComplies with agency guidelines relative to computer usageJanitorialPerforms janitorial duties according to established standards and as directedContributes to maintaining acceptable overall appearance of store floor, production area and grounds.Perform other duties as assignedAttends trainings and/or workshops to promote personal and professional development as assignedParticipates in an annual performance evaluation with the St. Vincent Manager of OperationsQualificationsJob Requirements:The following requirements are those that are normally required for the performance for this position.
