Warehouse Technician
JOB TITLE: Warehouse Technician
LOCATION: Michigan (Upper Peninsula)
MAIN PURPOSE: The Warehouse Technician position will manage warehouse inventory, perform physical receipt and issuing of materials, and execute corresponding electronic transactions. Position will require the use of heavy equipment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
Identify and inspect all incoming materials against manifest, invoice, packing slip and purchase order to ensure accuracy.
Document issues, receipts and return of materials in applicable ERP in a timely manner.
Conduct the receipt, stocking and inventory maintenance process of incoming materials.
Conduct the issue, removal from stock, and distribution process of outbound materials.
Load and unload trucks, trailers, vans and storage racks.
Perform general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, cleaning, etc.
Sort and palletize materials.
Generate or record necessary documentation to support all warehouse transactions.
Operate vehicles such as pickups, UTVs, and material handling equipment.
Perform cycle counts, and physical inventory audits of stock.
Deliver materials to point of use or maintenance work locations.
Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s in business administration or equivalent preferred.
3 years’ experience in logistics and/or materials management function preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
Forklift training and certification will be required.
Operation of equipment to include front End Loader, skid Loader, several types of forklifts
Experience with CMMS system SAP, Microsoft Office Suite preferred
Mechanical background preferred
