At KPMG, we believe nothing is more important than investing in our culture because it's an investment in our people, our future, and what we stand for as a firm.KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Trade and Customs practice.Responsibilities:Support managed service engagements, in a variety of industries, on Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) implementation and operationsProvide quality review for basic to complex trade compliance tasks and processes performed by staff and within the Trade & customs delivery centerBe a valued member of the FTZ service delivery team, and support the development and training of staffSupport FTZ clients with validating data, implementing, testing, and using GTM solutionsProvide clients with guidance on requirements of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and participating government agencies (PGA) for import, entry and export transactions in an FTZ environmentAssist in the delivery of multiple client engagements on time and within budget; maintain active communication with clients in an effort to manage expectations and satisfactionQualifications:Minimum three years of recent global trade experience focus on Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and/or a CPA, JD, LLM, Master's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experienceExcellent working knowledge of Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) processes, compliance activities, and operations, including participating government agency (PGA) reporting, as well as other import/export matters, such as the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, free trade agreements, entry processes, valuation and informed compliance methodsPrevious experience using FTZ Inventory Control and Recordkeeping Systems and/or FTZ processing is preferredStrong technical skills with the ability to conduct in-depth reviews of import/export data using data and analytics (using Microsoft applications such as Excel and Access)Ability to travel both domestically and internationallyApplicants must be authorized to work in the US with the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa)KPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries ("KPMG") complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
