You will help support individuals to live independently by providing direct support and positive direction while promoting self-determination, independence, and goal setting.In addition, you would be responsible for providing one-to-one training of staff and assisting with administrative activities. Please note this is not a supervisory role.What You Get to Do: Coach, teach, and advocate for individuals with diverse abilities, allowing them to be more effective in their everyday lives.Implement positive behavior supportsPromote independence and choiceProvide life skills coachingMedication administrationAssist with home supports such as home upkeep and light meal preparationAssist with shopping/budgetingProvide support with hobbies, studies, social activities, and goal settingAssist with transportation needs, such as running errandsSupport participation in community-based activities, social outings, and recreational programs.Mentor and train staffAssist the Program Director with administrative tasks such as schedules, documentation, audits, budgetsFoster a team-first environmentQualificationsWhat Makes You a Great Fit:1-2 years of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
