We believe the future of wellness is precision-driven, personalized, and always evolving—and we're just getting started.About The RoleWe are seeking a highly collaborative and detail-oriented Product Developer to lead the development of physical products from concept through production. This role sits at the intersection of design, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, with hands-on responsibility across injection-molded components, cut-and-sew soft goods, and surface-mount electronics.The ideal candidate understands how products are actually made, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can translate design intent into manufacturable, scalable solutions.What You'll DoOwn product development from concept, prototyping, validation, and ramp to mass productionCollaborate with industrial design, engineering, and manufacturing partners to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effectiveDevelop and manage BOMs, technical specifications, and product documentationLead development of: Injection-molded plastic parts (DFM, tooling, materials, tolerances)Cut & sew assemblies (patterns, materials, construction methods, vendor coordination)Surface-mount electronics (PCBAs, component selection, SMT assembly considerations)Coordinate prototype builds and pilot runs; evaluate samples and implement design revisionsWork closely with domestic and overseas manufacturers to resolve technical and production issuesDrive cost, quality, and schedule targets throughout the product lifecycleSupport testing, validation, and compliance efforts (mechanical, electrical, environmental, reliability)Identify risks early and propose practical solutions to keep programs on trackParticipate in continuous improvement of development processes and manufacturing workflowsWhat Success Looks Like In This RoleProducts move from concept to production with minimal rework and few surprisesDesigns translate cleanly into manufacturable, scalable solutions across plastics, soft goods, and electronicsPrototype and pilot build issues surface early, and design revisions are implemented quickly and effectivelySuppliers are clear, responsive, and accountable due to strong technical direction and follow throughBOMs, drawings, and specifications are accurate, current, and trusted by manufacturing partnersCost, quality, and schedule targets are met through practical engineering tradeoffs, not heroicsManufacturing ramps smoothly with predictable yields and resolved top issuesRisks are identified early and addressed decisively, with clear options communicated to engineering and leadershipThe team experiences less friction between design, engineering, and manufacturing because problems are solved at the sourceWhat You'll BringBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Development, or a related field3–7+ years of experience developing physical products for mass productionHands-on experience with at least two of the following: Injection moldingCut & sew / soft goods manufacturingSurface-mount electronics (SMT / PCBA)Strong understanding of DFM, DFA, and manufacturing tradeoffsExperience working directly with suppliers and contract manufacturersAbility to read and create technical drawings and specificationsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyNice to HaveExperience developing consumer electronics, wearables, or mixed-material productsFamiliarity with tooling development, mold qualification, and production ramp-upExperience with overseas manufacturing (Asia preferred)Knowledge of quality systems, testing protocols, and regulatory requirementsProficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and PLM systemsWork EnvironmentThis is a full-time position based out of our El Segundo office, following a hybrid schedule.
