Valuation Associate

The hiring company is an F/S firm seeking a valuation professional for their specialized opinions group.The group consists of 20 or so employees, and their focus is on the alternative assets space, where they assist clients in delivering fairness opinions and related valuation services on various sensitive transactions.The work is not repetitive, and each engagement will be different and interesting, contributing to your learning in the space.Their clients are hedge funds, credit funds, PE firms, and alikeThe new hire will get involved in financial modeling and conducting analytics across a wide array of asset classesAbility to execute on projects as well as manage and coach analystsRequired:Undergrad degree in accounting, finance, economics, and related fields4 to 6 years of valuation-related experience in the alternative asset space working at another bank, advisory firm, Big 4, or similarCFA is a big plusOther:Base of 150-175k plus bonus target of 50%4 days in the office
