Adams St. Tallahassee, FL 32301 Position Summary: We are seeking experienced and dependable Sheet Metal Mechanics to work on commercial construction and HVAC projects. The ideal candidate will have experience fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal products and duct systems in commercial environments such as office buildings, schools, hospitals, retail centers, and industrial facilities. Key Responsibilities: Fabricate, assemble, install sheet metal products and commercial HVAC duct systems Work on commercial construction and renovation projects Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery Install commercial ductwork, vents, flashing, and other sheet metal components Secure and seal duct systems according to project specifications and code requirements Operate equipment such as shears, brakes, punches, and welding tools Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards Maintain a clean and safe work environment on commercial job sites Follow OSHA safety regulations and company procedures Collaborate with supervisors, project managers, and other trades on commercial construction sites Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of commercial sheet metal mechanic experience preferred Experience with commercial HVAC systems and duct installation required Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must have own tools Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must be able to pass an FDLE background check OSHA certification is a plus Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions Benefits: Competitive pay Overtime opportunities Health benefits (if applicable) Weekly pay Career advancement opportunities Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Salary: $28 - $32 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
