With a focus on delivering transformative therapies, they are committed to improving outcomes for patients living with serious eye diseases.The RoleThe Senior Medical Director will provide strategic and clinical leadership across late-stage ophthalmology programs. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping clinical development strategy, collaborating cross-functionally, and engaging with regulatory authorities and key opinion leaders.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the medical lead for late-stage clinical development programs in ophthalmology.Provide clinical oversight for protocol design, execution, and data interpretation.Partner with regulatory affairs on submissions and interactions with global health authorities.Represent the company at medical and scientific meetings, establishing strong KOL and investigator relationships.Contribute to publication strategy and medical communications to support development programs.Provide clinical input to cross-functional teams including Clinical Operations, Biometrics, and Safety.Mentor and guide junior physicians and clinical development staff.QualificationsMD with Board Certification in Ophthalmology required.3+ years of industry experience within biotech or pharmaceutical clinical development.Demonstrated success in late-stage clinical development and regulatory submissions.Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.Track record of building relationships with investigators, KOLs, and regulatory authorities.Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced biotech environment.LocationThis is a remote position within the United States.Seniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionManagement and ResearchThe company is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
