Procurement / Project Engineer - Austin Seeking a highly organized Procurement / Project Engineer to manage the full lifecycle of project procurement and execution activities. This role combines procurement, project coordination, engineering support, vendor management, and delivery oversight to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification. The successful candidate will serve as the link between engineering, construction, suppliers, and project stakeholders.Company A leading developer and operator of large-scale digital infrastructure, delivering high-capacity facilities that support cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and enterprise technology requirements across multiple international markets.Key ResponsibilitiesManage project procurement activities from budgeting and planning through sourcing, vendor selection, purchase order issuance, delivery, commissioning, and project closeout.Develop and maintain procurement budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost tracking reports.Lead Request for Proposal (RFP) and tender processes, including scope development, bid evaluation, commercial analysis, and award recommendations.Prepare, review, and administer purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.Coordinate technical submittals, engineering reviews, approvals, and document control activities.Monitor supplier performance, manufacturing progress, lead times, and supply chain risks.Track equipment and material deliveries from factory to project site and resolve logistics issues.Support project execution by coordinating with engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.Schedule and coordinate vendor technicians for equipment startup, testing, and commissioning activities.Ensure project documentation, operation manuals, warranties, and closeout packages are complete and properly filed.Provide regular project status updates, procurement reports, and risk assessments to stakeholders.Ideal ProfileStrong follow-up and coordination skills with the ability to drive actions to completion.Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects, suppliers, and priorities simultaneously.Able to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and engineering documentation.Comfortable working with both technical teams and senior management.Proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail and schedule management.Qualifications5–8 years of experience in Procurement, Project Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Construction, Industrial, Energy, Manufacturing, or Infrastructure projects.Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract administration, budgeting, cost control, and project execution.Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and industrial equipment procurement.Experience with ERP, procurement, and project management software.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and reporting skills.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
