Title: SQL Database AdministratorLocation: Westlake, OH (Onsite)Job Type: Full-Time, Direct HireCompensation: $90,000 - $155,000 (commensurate with experience)No c2c or third party candidates at this timeOverviewWe are seeking a results-driven Database Administrator (SQL Server) to support and optimize enterprise database environments in a high-volume production setting. This role will be responsible for ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability across critical systems, with a strong emphasis on performance tuning, query optimization, and high availability.This is a highly visible position where you'll take ownership of database health and play a key role in supporting business-critical applications.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support Microsoft SQL Server environments across multiple production systemsMonitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing, and configuration improvementsDesign and maintain database structures, storage strategies, and capacity planningTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, availability, and data integrityDevelop and maintain T-SQL scripts, automation processes, and maintenance jobsImplement and support backup, recovery, and high availability solutions (Always On, clustering, log shipping)Apply database patches, upgrades, and security best practicesCollaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve application performance and scalabilityDocument database configurations, processes, and proceduresRequired Qualifications5-10+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server in production environments (level dependent)Strong expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexingAdvanced proficiency in T-SQL scripting and SQL Server Agent job automationExperience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On, failover clustering, log shipping)Hands-on experience with backup and recovery strategiesStrong troubleshooting skills across performance, stability, and data integrity issuesSolid understanding of database security and best practicesAbility to work independently and collaborate across teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting high-transaction or high-volume database environmentsExposure to job scheduling or automation tools (e.g., ActiveBatch)Familiarity with infrastructure or cloud environmentsWhat You'll GetOpportunity to work in a stable, enterprise environment supporting critical systemsHigh-impact role with visibility and ownershipCompetitive compensation aligned with experienceLong-term career growth in a performance-focused environmentAdditional InformationThis role is 100% onsite in Westlake, OH and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams in a professional office setting.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
