As a USA|Fitter/Welder 1, you will be part of the assembly and maintenance department supporting rotating equipment manufacturing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: USA|Fitter/Welder 1Location: Houston, TXShift: 1stWhat's the Job?Perform fitting, tack welding, and welding of components according to detailed drawings and specifications.Inspect, repair, replace, and maintain mechanical components on gas turbines and compressor packages.Work closely with engineering, quality control, and other crafts to ensure assembly accuracy and safety standards.Operate cutting rigs, welding machinery, and measuring tools to complete tasks efficiently.Review and interpret complex assembly instructions, blueprints, and technical specifications.What's Needed?High School Diploma, GED, or 10+ years of relevant stainless steel pipe welding experience; technical certificates and work experience may be considered.At least 5 years of experience in assembly of rotating equipment manufacturing.Experience with welding and cutting tools, gas turbine mechanical work, and overhaul work preferred.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.Welding certification, including passing GTAW P8 6G test, and maintaining welding skills certifications.What's in it for me?Opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment.Potential for full-time employment and career growth.Engagement in meaningful projects supporting critical energy infrastructure.Collaborative team environment with safety and quality at the forefront.Travel opportunities up to 15% for project support and site visits.If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
