Job Description Job Title: Director of Behavioral Health and Community Supports Salary: $80k-90kPosition Type: Full Time-Exempt Pay Schedule: Semi-monthlyLocation: Houston, 77055 Reports To: Chief Clinical OfficerDepartment: Spring Branch Campus Travel Percentage: 20%Position Summary: The Director Behavioral Health and Community Supports is responsible for providing comprehensive support and guidance to the following direct client service teams on the Spring Branch Campus: Clinical, Case Management, and Recovery Oriented Peer Support. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of behavioral health and supportive services.Essential Responsibilities:Program AdministrationProvide strong leadership and oversight to the Spring Branch Behavioral Health and Supportive Services team.Hire, train, supervise, and develop the behavioral health and community support staff at the Spring Branch campus.Motivate and inspire the team to drive results while upholding The Women's Home values: dignity, integrity, stewardship, and holistic growth.Understand various grant and funder expectations and outcomes and support team members in achieving related goals.Responsible for maintaining data and submitting reports to support required outcomes.Implement policies and procedures to help standardize practices across teams and support a culture of effectiveness and efficiency.Recommend new and/or revised behavioral health and supportive services programming as indicated by client needs.Recommend and implement program changes as indicated by client needs, best practices, and data-based assessments.Work collaboratively with other program managers to ensure quality and consistency across program areas.Work collaboratively with other program managers to ensure the service calendar is reviewed and updated regularly.Work collaboratively with the Manager of Clinical Services in placing and supervising interns at the Spring Branch campus.Responsible for regular review of charts and services to ensure the program complies with all regulations and best practices.Monitor and review staff notes in relevant databases to ensure timely and accurate documentation. Sign clinical notes as necessary.Handle crisis and emergency situations and support clients in the absence of available staff.Ensure teams have the resources needed to run effective programs and perform at their highest level.Submit monthly reports and other reports as requested.Participate on the agency's Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) team.Ensure all documentation is completed according to licensing requirements.Facilitate team meetings.Therapeutic Services AdministrationAssign clients to individual therapists and therapy groups appropriate for the client upon admission.Work with Managers to ensure a seamless referral process from residential to outpatient treatment, housing, and other essential supports.Direct treatment plans as the QCC in collaboration with the treatment team.Facilitate treatment meetings and case consultation.Recommend specialty groups and different therapeutic modalities as needed.Maintain a small caseload for individual therapy and groups as needed.Coordinate and provide training and supervision to interns assigned to groups and individual therapy cases.Community Support AdministrationWork closely with the Property Management company in managing the application process and ongoing services for individuals living in identified homeless units at Family Place and Garden Place.Lead the case management team in creating innovative and engaging programs and services for tenants and community members.Create a monthly program schedule of services to be implemented at both housing properties and at WLSC.Work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to support activities at housing properties and WLSC.Collaboration and Coordination:Work collaboratively with other departments and teams in The Women's Home to achieve successful outcomes for clients and programs.Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, stakeholders, and relevant agencies to enhance and expand the services provided to clients.Lead team in fostering collaborations through Memorandums of Understanding to enhance support for clients and the community.Provide referrals to community resources and other agencies as appropriate to meet participants' needs.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources, support services, and funding opportunities that may benefit clients and staff in their career and educational pursuits.Qualifications and Skills:Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.LPC or LCSW license active in the state of Texas.Proven experience in leading behavioral health and/or social service teams.Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients and community partners and engage and influence diverse stakeholders.Ability to assess staff needs, provide coaching and feedback, and develop individualized goals.Strong organizational and time management skills to coordinate and manage multiple tasks and teams.Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Commitment to the mission and values of The Women's Home.Reasonable Accommodation Notice:We are committed to providing equal access to all applicants.
