The Restaurant Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, including planning and preparing menu items, ensuring consistent food quality, and managing food preparation and cooking during service. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, organizing station setup, coordinating ticket flow, and ensuring timely service during peak hours. The Chef will maintain hygiene and food safety standards, manage inventory and ordering, minimize waste, and help control food costs. The role also involves contributing to menu improvements, training team members on recipes and techniques, and collaborating with management to ensure a positive guest experience.QualificationsStrong food preparation skills, including ingredient prep, station setup, and portion control.Proficiency in cooking and core culinary skills, with the ability to execute recipes consistently in a high-volume environment.Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.Experience in food service operations, coordinating with front-of-house teams, and maintaining smooth kitchen workflows.Previous experience as a line cook, chef, or similar back-of-house role in a restaurant setting.Ability to work standing for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform in a fast-paced environment, including evenings and weekends as needed.Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills, with a focus on reliability and professionalism.
