This position requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliInstallation of Doors and Hardware ulliFollow instructions from field supervision and project manager to install a variety of commercial doors including metal, glass, wood, and automatic doors/liliMount door frames, hinges, closers, panic hardware, locks, handles, and other hardware components according to specifications and building codes./liliEnsure proper alignment, functionality, and security of installed doors./li/ul/liliMaintenance and Repairs ulliPerform repairs on doors and hardware to ensure smooth and secure operation./liliReplace worn-out or damaged parts such as hinges, locks, closers, and stripping./liliConduct routine maintenance checks to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns./li/ul/liliMeasurement and Customization ulliAccurately measure and assess door openings and hardware requirements./liliCustomize doors and hardware to fit specific dimensions and designs./li/ul/liliSafety and Compliance ulliAdhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on site/in buildings./liliMake certain installations meet local building codes and ADA requirements./li/ul/liliDocumentation and Reporting ulliMaintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities./liliCommunicate effectively with field supervision, project manager and others regarding the project status and requirements./li/ul/liliMaintain all equipment in good working order and report any malfunctions to field supervisor/liliAttend training to learn new technology of building materials and installation methods as requested by the company./liliTrack time and materials as required for each installation project/li/ulh3Minimum Qualifications/h3pA minimum of two (2) years of experience as a commercial door and hardware installer (or similar experience). Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to door installation and maintenance./ph3Knowledge, Skills Abilities/h3ulliAbility to interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications/liliAbility to comprehend door and hardware schedules/liliPhysical ability to lift and maneuver heavy doors and equipment/liliEffective communication skills/liliExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail/li/ulpThe starting hourly rate for this position is $20.00 to $35.00 (based on skills, training, and experience).
