Utility Foreman
Job Description
Seeking an experienced Utility Foreman to lead a crew in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utility systems, including water, sewer, storm drains, and electrical lines. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet required quality and safety standards.Salary: $70K - $100K (Based on Experience)Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMIndustry: Heavy Civil Construction, Grading, Utilities, DemolitionLocation: Columbia, SC (70% travel with Southern SC)Company vehicle provided!Benefits:90 percent employer-paid health insuranceShort-term disabilityVision and dental coveragePaid time off$25K life insurance policy$60 monthly cell phone reimbursementPaid mileage for site visitsKey Responsibilities for Utility Foreman:Supervise and direct crews while ensuring compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and company policiesOperate and oversee heavy equipment safely and efficientlyInterpret engineered plans and execute project layoutsSet up and manage GPS base stations and GPS-guided equipmentConduct JSA (Job Safety Analysis), toolbox talks, and required safety trainingIdentify production issues and implement solutionsEnsure proper equipment storage and maintenancePerform daily inspections, fuel logs, and maintenance checksMaintain erosion control measures and keep job sites clean and compliantLead the crew in daily activities, troubleshooting, and minor emergency repairsRequired Knowledge & Skills:Operation and maintenance of heavy equipment (wheel loaders, dozers, excavators, compactors)Utility installation: storm drains, manholes, water lines, hydrants, valves, sewer lines, lift stationsSite preparation, surveying, and layoutRigging and safety proceduresKnowledge of road construction and site developmentUnderstanding of equipment storage, maintenance, and cleaning standardsIf you are interested in this opportunity, please submit your resume for immediate consideration.For faster response, text "Utility" to 321-418-6672.INDH Powered by JazzHRcQG0EFu2Md
