This is a hands-on role responsible for CAD modeling, production detailing, cost estimating, and production planning.You will take projects from concept through manufacturing by creating 3D models, shop drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and production routings, while collaborating closely with design, estimating, production, and installation teams.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical design (CAD/detailing) and manufacturing planning (BOMs, costing, processes).Key ResponsibilitiesCreate 3D CAD models and production drawings for retail fixtures and décorDevelop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings in ERP/MRP systemsAnalyze project scope and define manufacturing, packaging, and installation approachesGenerate cost estimates for labor, materials, and production processesCollaborate with design, estimating, production, and installation teams to ensure successful executionTranslate concepts into accurate shop drawings and production-ready documentationMonitor production progress, identify issues, and recommend solutionsApply knowledge of materials (wood, metal, plastics) and manufacturing methods to optimize designsParticipate in production and installation kickoff meetingsSupport product lifecycle improvements, including cost reduction and value engineeringRequirementsQualifications:2–5+ years of experience in CAD detailing, production planning, or product developmentProficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar CAD softwareExperience with ERP/MRP systems and BOM managementAbility to read and interpret shop drawings, architectural drawings, and specificationsStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials (metal, wood, plastics)Solid math skills (geometry, material calculations, estimating)Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skillsPreferredAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, Construction, or related fieldSchedule & Location:Onsite in Eugene, ORMonday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PMOccasional overtime based on project demandWhy Join KRSWork on custom, high-visibility retail projectsStrong collaboration across design, engineering, and manufacturingOpportunity to influence product development and manufacturing strategyKing Retail Solutions OffersMedical, Dental, and Vision plan401(k) with company contributionFlexible Spending AccountShort-Term Disability (company provided)Long-Term DisabilitySupplemental Life InsuranceProfit SharingTuition ReimbursementPaid holidays and Paid Time Off
