Pediatric Clinic LPN-Satellite Clinic
We are currently looking for a Full Time Pediatric Clinic LPN-Satellite Clinic to join our Ardmore Clinical Services and RN Team team located at the Ardmore Health Clinic.
Summary:
Plans and provides routine patient care by utilizing, participating, and documenting the nursing process. Assists with patient teaching and discharge planning as guided by the RN and appropriate per nursing practice act and facility policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Administers CPR as needed according to Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) and NIHSS Credentialing
Calculates and safely administers all prescribed medications according to nursing standards and facility policy and protocols
Advocates and participates in patient and patient family education i.e., diagnosis, medications and discharge instructions
Protects the patient’s rights, dignity, and privacy
Performs assessments on patients experiencing urgent, emergent, or non-emergent conditions
Assesses physical needs of all ages of patients
Assesses bio-psychosocial needs of all ages of patients
Assesses health education needs of all ages of patients
Provides and advocates age and culturally appropriate, holistic patient care based upon facility mission statements and as outlined in policies and procedures
Implements interventions appropriate to the age-specific needs of the patient
Follows direction of the registered nurse in day to day operations
Administers vaccinations under the oversight of the registered nurse and according to facility policy
Documents vaccines according to facility policy
Sets up and cleans patient rooms and equipment per policy
Collects patient data in initial screening and documents as necessary
Assists provider with diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures, exams, specimen collection and other care as directed
Assists with preparing orders for labs, tests, and medications per provider’s direction
Notifies patient of follow-up results as directed by provider
Assists patients in scheduling appointments
Facilitates communication between the patient and the medical staff
Facilitates consults, referrals, and form completion as requested and approved by the medical staff
Facilitates the check-in and check-out process with the patient
Participates in performance improvement activities to measure, assess and improve the quality of assigned work area
Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner
