Primary Therapist
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Therapist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including individual, group, and family therapy, to clients across various settings. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges, fostering resilience and recovery. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) psychodynamic therapy, and/ or applied behavior analysis (ABA).
Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety during emergencies while managing crisis situations with professionalism and sensitivity.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans, case management activities, and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Facilitate intake assessments for new clients via telehealth or in-person settings, ensuring accurate medical records and appropriate treatment pathways.
Engage in clinical research initiatives to support evidence-based practices and improve therapeutic outcomes.
Utilize social work skills to address social determinants affecting mental health and provide supportive counseling tailored to individual needs such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with autism or disabilities.
Requirements
LMFT, AMFT, Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent state credential.
Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, or applied behavior analysis (ABA).
Demonstrated expertise in crisis management and crisis intervention techniques within behavioral health settings.
Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Geriatrics populations, or patients requiring specialized mental health care such as PTSD or chronic pain management.
Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical terminology, and electronic medical records systems compliant with HIPAA standards.
Strong communication skills for conducting intake assessments and patient education through telehealth platforms or in-person visits.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
