Come Take Flight at KSU!Location(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.Job SummaryResponsible for receiving packages from vendors and delivering to campus as addressed. Processes purchase order receipts according to department instructions and procedures. Helps load and unload materials at designated pick-up and/or delivery locations. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment to move items within the storage facility. Has knowledge of commonly used practices, procedures, and safety protocols within a particular field to include all areas of distribution, warehouse, surplus, and inventory. Fosters a safe working environment. Performs other Central Receiving and Distribution duties as assigned. Operates Campus Vehicles on a regular basis. Routinely interacts with all constituents within the University community.ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Executes delivery and removal of University property from campus departments as requested via electronic request system Performs a variety of semi-skilled manual tasks and duties in support of various services provided by Central Receiving and Distribution Assists with pick-ups and deliveries on and between campuses as directed Assists in accounting for items received or delivered via appropriate paperwork and/or tracking systems Loads and unloads vehicles by hand or by use of hand truck, dolly or other appropriate equipment Properly secures items for transportation and unloading Positions and organizes items within workspaces according to established guidelines Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices Disposes of state property when and as directed according to established guidelines Maintains equipment and machine performance by addressing simple problems and correcting issues when possible Works effectively in a service-oriented environment subject to frequently changes in priorities Follows through and carries out assignmentsRequired QualificationsEducational RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalentOther Required QualificationsCurrent, valid and unrestricted Georgia driver's licenseRequired ExperienceOne (1) year related work experiencePreferred QualificationsAdditional Preferred QualificationsAbility to operate various equipment related to role and departmentProposed SalaryThe budgeted hourly range is $13.33 per hour to $16.33 per hour.
