The Liquids Terminal Operator 1 is responsible for the safe, efficient, and smooth operation of various terminal functions, including truck unloading/loading, maintaining terminal cleanliness, assisting with dock and tank farm operations, and adhering to safety protocols. Perform Routine Tasks at the TerminalResponsibilities:* Complete daily routine tasks to ensure smooth terminal operations, including routine checks, cleaning, equipment inspections, and record-keeping.* Monitor inventory, verify equipment functionality, and report any maintenance issues promptly.* Assist with general housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.Expectations:* Consistent and timely performance of routine tasks, ensuring minimal disruption to terminal operations.* Attention to detail in daily inspections, reporting, and documentation.* --Overall Success Indicators for Terminal Operator 1:* Safety Compliance: Zero accidents, incidents, or violations related to safety, with active participation in the safety culture.* Operational Efficiency: High performance in truck unloading/loading, dock and tank farm operations, and completion of routine tasks without delay or error.* Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Proactive identification and resolution of operational issues, with positive outcomes from the use of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.* Teamwork and Collaboration: Effective collaboration with coworkers across various areas of the terminal (dock, tank farm, safety).* Training and Development: Ongoing growth in skills and knowledge through regular training, certification, and cross-training in terminal functions.By meeting these responsibilities and expectations, Terminal Operator 1 will contribute to a safe, efficient, and high-performing terminal operation, driving overall operational success and continuous improvement.Qualification and Education Requirements:* Must be 18 years of age.* A High School diploma or GES is required.* 1+ years of experience in similar setting is preferred* Ability to learn quickly and to work as part of a team* Valid TWIC card* Must possess and maintain and valid US Drivers license.* Must pass all pre-employment testing including a drug test, physical, and background check* Basic mathematical ability and understanding is required to successfully perform tank measurements, read gauges, set up product transfers into and out of tanks. This includes the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, convert fractions to decimals and vice versa. etc.Physical Demands* Operator must be able to work at heights and around water at marine facility.* Work is done outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.* Frequesntly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.Position Details* Shift work- must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.* will be subject to call-put* Non-exempt position.
