Our collaborative approach ensures members receive high-quality, personalized care while supporting a stronger, healthier community.POSITION PURPOSEThe Quality Coordinator plays a key operational role in supporting quality improvement initiatives, behavioral health incentive measures, and departmental coordination. This position organizes workflows, tracks timelines, and ensures clear communication to keep projects moving forward. They support measures such as Social Emotional Health, IET, and Assessments for Children in DHS Custody, lead internal QI efforts, and assist with governance processes like QIC coordination, measure tracking, and policy management. Through strong coordination and follow-up, the role helps ensure initiatives are implemented efficiently and aligned with organizational priorities.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesBehavioral Health Incentive MeasuresAssessments for Children in DHS CustodyLead Quality Improvement (QI) refresh activities for assessment of workflowsUtilize structured QI tools, such as process mapping and fishbone diagrams, to identify root causes and improvement opportunitiesTrack project progress, deliverables, and next stepsInitiation & Engagement of SUD Treatment (IET)Manage the IET notification process to ensure timely and accurate communicationAttend and co-facilitate the monthly IET Workgroup, including agenda development, documentation, and follow-upMaintain the IET workplan and support project progression through delegation or direct ownershipIdentify workflow barriers and recommend QI-focused solutionsSocial Emotional Health (SEH)Support implementation of strategies to improve UHA’s SEH performance rate in partnership with the Care Coordination DepartmentMaintain and update the Social Emotional Health workplan to support metric goals and initiativesCoordinate meetings, timelines, workgroups, and related SEH project activitiesAttend and present quality updates at the monthly Behavioral Health SubcommitteeQuality Improvement Support for Incentive MeasuresLead structured QI initiatives with internal departments as a facilitative and operational partnerCoordinate meetings, gather stakeholder feedback, and utilize data to support decision-makingPresent findings, develop action plans, and assist with implementation through project completionDocument all phases of the QI cycle, including problem identification, implementation, evaluation, and closureDepartment & Incentive Measure CoordinationMaintain timelines and workplans for identified departmental measures of focusPartner with the Quality Analyst to support program evaluations and measure updatesSupport the Quality Manager with coordination of CCO Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs)Policy & Procedure SupportTrack annual review schedules for all Quality policies, procedures, and SOPsMonitor PolicyTech submission timelines and assist subject matter experts throughout the review and approval processAdd updated documents to QIC agendas, prepare summaries, and present changes for approvalMaintain documentation related to review status, timelines, and approvalsCHALLENGESWorking with a variety of personalities, maintaining a consistent and fair communication styleSatisfying the needs of a fast-paced and challenging companyBalancing regulatory compliance, member-centered care, and operational efficiency in a complex and evolving CCO environmentMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field requiredMinimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare quality management, quality improvement, healthcare operations, or related fieldsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with experience utilizing data management and reporting toolsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of CLAS principles and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and health equity initiativesCertification in Healthcare Quality (e.g., CPHQ) or related certification preferredValid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and ability to maintain required automobile insurance.
