Shop Supervisor

Position Summary:The Shop supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the automotive customization shop, ensuring all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role serves as the bridge between management and technicians, coordinating workflow, assigning tasks, and providing hands-on technical guidance. The Shop Supervisor monitors productivity, troubleshoots complex issues, and performs final quality inspections to ensure customer satisfaction. Strong leadership, organization, and deep technical expertise in automotive systems and aftermarket customization are essential to successfully manage a high-performing team and deliver exceptional builds.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate daily workflow of technicians, fabricators, and installersAid in job assignment based on skill level, timelines, and project complexityEnsure all work meets quality standards and customer expectationsMaintain productivity targets and manage shop schedulingTroubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and fabrication issuesPerform final inspections before vehicle deliveryEnforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized shop environmentTrain, mentor, and evaluate team membersCollaborate with service advisors, sales team, and customers on project scope and timelinesManage inventory, tools, and equipment; coordinate with vendors when neededQualifications:5+ years of experience in automotive repair, performance, or customization5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role preferredStrong knowledge of aftermarket parts, fabrication, wiring, and diagnosticsAbility to read and interpret build sheets, schematics, and technical diagramsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong communication and leadership abilitiesValid driver's license (clean driving record preferred)EducationBachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, Automotive Technology, or related field preferred.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Work EnvironmentThe noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.CompensationPaid Weekly.ScheduleMay involve extended hours depending on business needs.
