We integrate people, process, and platforms to drive modernization, strengthen security, and ensure measurable results across the federal enterprise./ppLocation: Pentagon, Arlington, VA (On-site) Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance (required) Employment Type: Full-time/ph3About the Role/h3pWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to provide expert PPBE, budget formulation, execution, and financial analysis support to the Directorate of Business Operations (DBO) within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition Sustainment (OUSD(AS))./ppThis role plays a critical part in supporting the full Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) lifecycle, developing high-visibility budget materials, conducting financial analysis, and supporting senior-level program reviews and decision-making./ppYou will work directly with senior DoD leadership, contribute to major budget submissions, and help shape financial strategies that impact the Departments mission./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliSupport development of Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Budget Estimate Submission (BES) materials, including issue papers, budget proposals, and justification documents (e.g., R-Forms, P-Forms)./liliAnalyze financial and budgetary trends; prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior DoD leadership./liliMonitor program execution, including funding releases, distribution tracking, obligation/disbursement rates, and annual expenditure performance./liliPrepare and support PPBE documentation such as RDTE Descriptive Summaries, Budget Issue Papers, and Program Decision Memorandum inputs./liliParticipate in mid-year reviews, program reviews, and other PPBE governance meetings./liliConduct baseline assessments of financial processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance./liliCollaborate with information systems and data teams to improve budget formulation, execution, and monitoring tools./liliEstablish and track performance metrics to assess program value and effectiveness./li/ulh3Required Qualifications/h3ulliActive DoD Secret Clearance./liliBachelors degree from an accredited institution (may be waived for exceptional experience)./liliMinimum 5 years of DoD/OSD or Military Department HQ-level PPBE financial management experience./liliHands-on experience with DAI (OBIEE, Hyperion), WAWF, G-Invoicing, DAR-Q./liliStrong analytical, problem-solving, and written/oral communication skills./li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications/h3ulliDAU certification relevant to financial or business management./liliBachelors degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field./liliExperience with OSD-level financial systems, processes, and governance./li/ulh3Recommended Certifications/h3ulliDAWIA Level II or III Business/Financial Management/liliCertified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) ASMC/liliDoD Financial Management Certification Program (DFMCP)/liliCertified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) AGA/liliMicrosoft Office Specialist: Excel/li/ulh3Why Join Us/h3pThis is a unique opportunity to support senior DoD leadership at the Pentagon and contribute to financial decisions that shape national defense priorities.
