Pay: $2,598 to $2,634 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Start Date: 5/25/2026 About the Position Job Title: Respiratory Therapist – Pulmonary Location: Libertyville, IL Duration: 13 Weeks Shift Details: 12hr Night Shift (36 hours/week) – 6:00 PM start | Every other weekend | No call | Holidays as needed Job Summary The Respiratory Therapist provides advanced respiratory care to patients across the full lifespan, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. This role requires strong critical care experience and the ability to manage complex respiratory conditions in a high-acuity environment. Facility Overview 273-bed facility Level I Trauma Center Level II NICU Teaching Hospital Magnet Designated Primary Stroke Center Department Overview Minimum 2 years of experience required First-time travelers considered upon review Patient ratio: 1:1 Key Responsibilities Assess and manage respiratory conditions across all age groups Perform ventilator management and respiratory therapies Conduct ABG draws and interpret results Assist with proning and ECMO support Perform spontaneous breathing trials Manage tracheostomy care and advanced airway support Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Document care in EMR Patient Population & Conditions Neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients Respiratory conditions including critical care, COVID, and complex pulmonary cases Required Qualifications Active IL Respiratory License – Required RRT or CRT Certification – Required BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (AHA) – Required Minimum 2 years of experience across all age groups EPIC experience – Required Skills Required Tracheostomy care Nitrous oxide procedures Proning techniques ECMO support Ventilator-associated care and prevention Spontaneous breathing trials ABG draws Critical care experience Department Support Supervisor support available Adequate PPE including N95 masks Technology & Equipment EMR: EPIC Ventilators: PB840, PB980, Servo-U, Hamilton CPAP/BiPAP: V60, ResMed, RemStar Optiflow systems Transport ventilators: Hamilton Floating Requirements May float within hospital or PSA facilities as needed Orientation 1 day unit orientation Scheduling Details Weekend rotation: Every other weekend No on-call requirements Holidays: As needed Additional Information Scrub Color: Charcoal Gray Parking: Free TB_HC ZRHC Why TalentBurst?
