They act as the technical backbone for dealers and customers, helping diagnose and resolve issues with onboard hardware, software, and connected systems. The team works globally, partnering closely with engineering, implementation teams, and dealers to keep equipment operating reliably and to support new product rollouts.Role OverviewThe Product Service Engineer is a handson technical problem solver. This person investigates and fixes realworld issues with Caterpillar equipment technology both remotely and occasionally on customer sites. They work directly with dealers, customers, and internal engineering teams to troubleshoot problems, support new product launches, and make sure issues are permanently resolved, not just patched.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for Caterpillar equipment technologySupport dealers and customers by diagnosing problems and driving permanent fixesAct as the technical liaison between dealers/customers and product development engineeringSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including field follow and product readinessManage incident cases to meet service-level expectationsEscalate complex or highpriority issues to advanced engineering when neededDocument defects, improvement opportunities, and corrective actionsCommunicate clearly with dealers and customers on issue status and resolutionOccasionally travel to job sites or mine locations (up to ~25%)MustHave Qualifications5 7 years of relevant technical experienceBachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (OR equivalent experience: Associate degree with 8 10 years of handson system troubleshooting)Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skillsAbility to quickly learn new systems and technologiesClear written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working with customers, dealers, and engineering teamsWillingness to travel up to 25% and work on industrial job sites when neededProficiency with basic Microsoft applicationsNicetoHave QualificationsExperience with construction equipment or heavy equipment technologyKnowledge of jobsite networking or connected equipment systemsBackground in automotive, mobile equipment, or telematics systemsExperience working with globally distributed teamsFamiliarity with Azure DevOps or defect/issue tracking systemsExposure to New Product Introduction (NPI) or product launch supportRegards,Shanthi PedhiredlaSOVEREIGN TECHNOLOGIES LLCDesk no - # 4Direct no - ()Certified Minority Owned Business ( MBE)
