Salon Assistant Manager

Assistant Manager — Sit Still Kids Salon (Happy Valley) Sit Still Kids Salon is a busy, high-energy kids’ haircut + party salon in Happy Valley—and we’re looking for an Assistant Manager to be the owner’s right hand. This role is perfect for someone who’s a total customer service rockstar, loves staying organized, and wants to learn how a business runs behind the scenes. What you’ll do: You’ll help keep the salon running smoothly day-to-day, with a mix of front-of-house leadership and behind-the-scenes operations, including: Customer experience + front desk leadership Create a warm, calm, fun experience for kids + parents Handle questions, concerns, and service recovery with confidence and kindness Scheduling + coverage Manage staff schedules and front desk coverage (especially weekends/peak times) Help keep the appointment book flowing smoothly and efficiently Inventory + ordering Track supplies and retail inventory Sales + add-ons Assist the team on offering add-ons (glitter, wash, sparkle strands, etc.) Help drive retail product sales in a natural, helpful way KPI support Help track and improve key metrics (pre-booking, add-ons, retail, rebooking, etc.) Support staff accountability and celebrate wins “Knows the ins and outs” Learn our systems and processes so you can confidently problem-solve and keep things moving Schedule + availability (important) Part-time ~25 hours/week Must be available to work weekends (our busiest days) Mix of peak hours in-salon + some non-peak hours for admin work You’re a great fit if you… Are genuinely great with people (especially parents + kids) Stay calm under pressure and can juggle multiple priorities Are organized, proactive, and love owning a checklist Can confidently coach and hold boundaries with kindness Are interested in learning how a business works (bonus if you dream of owning one someday) Experience Salon experience is a plus, not required If you’re amazing at customer service and eager to learn, we can train the rest To apply Send us: A short note on why you’d be great for this role Your resume (or a summary of your work experience) Your weekly availability (especially weekends) Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week Benefits: Employee discount Work Location: In person
