Job Description Material Handler / Sit-Down Forklift OperatorMount Vernon, IL 62864Now Hiring – Multiple Openings!We are currently hiring Material Handlers for a long-term opportunity at a customer facility in Mount Vernon, IL. This position primarily involves operating a sit-down forklift while assisting with material handling and tire recycling operations. Forklift training will be provided onsite for qualified candidates.Pay & Shift Options1st Shift7:00 AM – 7:00 PM$17.50/hourNight Shift7:00 PM – 7:00 AM$18.20/hourSchedule: 12-hour shifts following the Pitman Shift Schedule (rotating schedule with every other weekend off).Job ResponsibilitiesOperate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.Manually load and move tires when needed.Operate balers and other material handling equipment.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Follow all safety procedures and work instructions.Work closely with Project Managers and other team members.RequirementsPrevious forklift experience preferred.Ability to lift and move materials as needed.Steel-toed boots are required.Must bring:Safety glovesHigh-visibility vestSafety glassesValid State ID or Driver's License required.Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.BenefitsHealthcare benefits available.Forklift training provided onsite.Long-term opportunity with potential for permanent employment.Eligible for consideration to become a full-time employee after 60–90 days based on attendance and performance.About the OpportunityThis position is located at a customer facility and is not at a landfill.
